New York City Fashion Week kicked off last night, and while a lot of talk in the next few days may center on new trends and the hot designers behind them, expect to also hear a lot about Andrej Pejic.

This 20-year old is expected to walk the runway as both a man and a woman, something the model also followed through with last year during Paris Fashion Week, actually making his androgynous look something of a trend.

Pejic, after all, covered 14 magazines in 2011.

“He’s just this beautiful thing that everyone wants a piece of,” stylist Ken Anderson told The Associated Press of the 6’1″ star, who wears a size two or four in women’s clothing.

There’s no word yet on just which shows in New York will feature the Australian native – but you’ll definitey hear about the ones that do.

Who Won America’s Next Top Model?

Who Won America’s Next Top Model?

America’s Next Top Model courted some major controversy on its season finale tonight, as finalist Angela Preston was disqualified… with little explanation provided.

Sources say she was given the boot for leaking spoilers about the cycle, while some go as far as to validate this claim… and add that she was actually named the winner, until The CW was forced to reshoot the finale. The network, meanwhile, simply said in a statement:

“After production wrapped on the current cycle of America’s Next Top Model, we learned information that made Angelea ineligible and she was subsequently disqualified from the competition. As a result, new scenes were filmed to address this for the audience during the finale.”

That shocking development resulted in a rather anti-climactic conclusion, but Lisa D’Amato took home the crown after dominating on the runway.

For winning the first-ever All-Stars cycle, Lisa earned a $ 100,000 contract with CoverGirl, along with a spread in Vogue Italia and a guest correspondence role on Extra.

“It’s crazy! It’s absolutely crazy! I feel incredible,” said the 30-year old after hearing her name called as the champion. “To be honest, my confidence actually comes from a very vulnerable place. It’s not that I’m over-confident. It’s just that I have to life myself up every day. I have a lot to prove. I feel like the universe finally came around for me and I’m not going to let anybody down. I won America’s Next Top Model All Star. It’s pretty damn cool.”

Olivia Wilde: I’m Not A Model!

Clad in a turtleneck blouse, polka dot pencil skirt, and pointed black blazer, Olivia Wilde’s proclamation, “I’m not a model, but I’m a hard-working professional,” isn’t a stretch to believe. The DC-raised actress is in New York filming The Longest Week, her latest feature film on a resume that boasts Tron: Legacy and The Change-Up. So it’s no surprise that her newest role, Revlon brand ambassador, is equal parts work and play.

“We weren’t asked to be models,” Wilde said of her new gig alongside fellow rising star and Revlon ambassador Emma Stone. “That takes a completely different talent. But the ads are tailored for who I am as an individual. I’m an incredibly hard worker who likes to have fun. I think that’s the definition of the modern woman.”

Judging by her print ads, which hit glossies in February, Wilde’s modern woman is a twenty-something in a trench coat and birkin-style handbag roaming the streets of NYC for signs of nightlife. But the actress herself splits time between the big apple and L.A. “I’m in New York as much as I can be, since my whole family is here.”

Wilde’s professional streak may be genetic (she’s the only actress in a long line of successful writers and journalists) along with her love of makeup. “My mother is an investigative journalist, and a producer for 60 Minutes. I remember seeing pictures of her in the middle of Afghanistan with bold eyeliner on. She’s a wizard with liner, and that’s when she felt her most powerful.”

For an actress who favors a natural approach to the red carpet, divulging, “I have to feel comfortable when one hundred people are screaming my name and not like I’m wearing a costume,” Wilde is constantly changing her look for new roles. Her Tron character required nine months of aesthetic development and the “white, silvery skin was put on every morning with an airbrush.” Wilde’s current project has her rocking a French new wave look, while an upcoming film with Ron Howard will prove an unfamiliar challenge. “I will be playing a real person, which I’ve never done before.”

Beyond the studio lots and makeup artists, the actress’s daily beauty routine is riddled with likeable female fallibility. “I have brushes swimming at the bottom of my purse all the time, so I like Revlon’s new crème eyeliner that has a brush built in to it.” The spokeswoman’s other favorites? “The lip butter is amazing. My lips are always dried out by pigment, but that really keeps them moisturized.”
